“Diversity That Works”: Representatives of academic institutions and professional organizations from around the country congregated in Baton Rouge, LA, May 29-30 for discussions about how best to promote racial and ethnic diversity in higher education.The program, titled “Diversity That Works” and hosted by Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication, focused on successful diversity efforts in student recruitment, faculty recruitment, curriculum development, external programming for professional and academic; and research. The conference is funded with a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
